The GoodTrash GenreCast is a film analysis podcast and the flagship program of GTM. The show began in the fall of 2012 in the bowels of the University of Central Oklahoma.

The GenreCast Film Analysis Podcast

The goal of the show is to bring critical analysis to genre and cult films that aren’t typically acknowledged in film studies programs. Over the years, we’ve developed several recurring marathons that we return to every year, such as AntiTrash and Shocktober. Each episode follows a similar format, a quick review, a game and then a round table discussion of the film. It’s a little bit silly and a little bit education, and hopefully a lot of fun.

Your hosts of the GenreCast are Dustin, Dalton and Arthur. Dustin is the godfather of the show (this is all his fault). Arthur is the editor and producer, a job occasionally shared by Dustin. Dalton and Arthur tend to lend their services to social media and programming. Arthur also moderates this here website.

The GenreCast has been through a number of evolutions, but one thing has always been steady—the conversation.
