Greetings GoodTrash Media! Welcome to The Cast Beyond The Wall, A Game of Thrones recap and analysis show hosted by Austin Lucari, Daniel Stull, and your’s truly; Caleb Masters. We’ll be talking every episode of the upcoming season 6. After podcasting the Westerosi gospel all around the internet through the last two years, we’ve decided to make GoodTrash our home for discussion this year because we believe Game of Thrones is so much more than just 60 minutes and a bottle of the finest Dornish wine.
To kick things off we’re taking a look back at the cliffhanging events of season 5 before making a few predictions for the upcoming season. We start in the north with our long lost warg, Bran Stark before hitting each storyline and eventually wrapping up with Cersei’s vengeful shenanigans in King’s Landing.
Game of Thrones Season 6 marks the biggest break from the books the show has taken so far. Daenerys, Bran, Cersie, and *gasp* Jon Snow’s plot threads are moving ahead of George RR Martin’s material which has us all very excited and on Valerian edge. Speaking of the late Lord Commander, we don’t buy the sleight of hand DB Weiss and David Benioff is pulling on us. We’re certain the bastard of Winterfell will rise again and even discuss our theories on the inevitable connection between his heritage and resurrection.
