In 1999, Kevin Smith fired the Catholic Church up with a little movie by the name of Dogma. Tapping into his own Catholic background, Smith penned and directed a satire about two fallen angels finding a loophole to get back into heaven, with one drawback—the end of the world. Heaven and Hell clash in a race to the final days of humanity. While it sounds like a heavy fantasy work, the film is ripe with heart and boasts comedic banter from an all-star ensemble of performers firing on all cylinders, including Linda Fiorentino, Chris Rock, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Alan Rickman, Jason Lee, Salma Hayek, and more.
