Climbing Jacob’s Ladder

Tim Robbins plays Jacob Singer, a vet of the Vietnam War who has returned home. He has a PhD but opts to work in at the post office so that he doesn’t have to think anymore. As Jacob’s days go by, he begins to see strange things and get the sense that he’s begin followed. What really happened in Vietnam? What did the government do to these soldiers? As Jacob digs deeper, reality only gets weirder.

Brigham’s choice of Jacob’s Ladder is very exciting. It is a movie we’ve long talked about doing but never got it on the schedule. So, thank you dearly, Brigham.

This week, we’re talking government conspiracies, the death of the mid-budget studio thriller, the ebb and flow of politics in media, and much more as we make a long trek up Jacob’s Ladder.
