Divining Poltergeist

From Romero to Hooper, the hits just keep coming. Or, do they? Dalton and Arthur have some strong opinions about Poltergeist. A movie wherein a nuclear family symbolize the height of 80s success and the fulfillment of the American Dream. But soon, the house they love won’t be safe anymore as something evil is coming for their youngest child.

This horror classic boasts a strong resume with Tobe Hooper at the helm and Spielberg not far behind as producer. It’s a classic 80s movie, and we’ve got plenty to talk about.

Dustin kicks it off with some formal notes as he wants to discuss foreshadowing. From there, we discuss burying the past and the foundation of American growth.

So, come join us as Shocktober rolls on, and find out what we’re doing next!
