Learning about Little Red Riding Hood

We’ve somehow moved into something of a Thirsty Summer marathon with yet another movie with weird sexual energy. This week, it’s Catherine Hardwicke’s follow up to the uber hit Twilight.

Red Riding Hood is obviously attempting to emulate the beloved vampire romance, but this time with Not-Rob Patt and Amanda Seyfried. Seyfried stars as Valerie, who is in love with the town bad boy. There’s also a werewolf after her. Life was hard in the 1300s.

This week, we’re talking plug and play plots, themes of societal isolation, psychoanalysis, and much more!
