A Loose Five

A late night set is arduous work for a comedian, each word and beat labored over at mics and on paper, alone and with producers. They have to deliver a “tight five”- five minutes on the nose. On each episode of A Loose Five, host Wampus Reynolds and comedians from around the country take on one joke from one comedian’s set and discuss it and how the joke relates to their own comedy and feelings. It is a great dissection of humor and the people who use it onstage.

Wampus Reynolds bio: Wampus straddles Oklahoma and New Mexico. He’s a cheesemonger by day, and tired cheesemonger at night. As a standup comedian, appeared at Blue Whale Comedy Festival and opened for Todd Barry, Allen Strickland Williams and Josh Gondelman. He hosted (hosts?)  a live club talk show (@reynoldsprogram on the twitter) and is the only person with combined 4-3 record on Jeopardy! and Win Ben Stein’s Money.
